I am honored by your invitation to join the board of directors of the Civic Disaster Relief Committee. For several years I have volunteered my time for fund-raising efforts by this committee and I fully support your work.

However, due to other professional commitments at this time, I must regretfully decline your invitation. Although I will continue to volunteer my services for occasional events, I feel that I am unable to contribute the time that this position would require.
