Pick an electric circuit off of one of the circuit pages listed
on the EGR 215 website. Completely explain how it works—explain what
each component is doing (measure and or calculate currents and voltages to help you
answer this). You may build the actual circuit (you supply most of the
parts—I'll provide a few cheap things like resistors, assuming we have them),
andor you may simulate it using OrCad. Pick an interesting circuit—if
you pick a trivial circuit you will probably not get as high a grade as if you
pick an interesting one. Also, if the circuit you pick already has a good
description online of how it works you better explain it even better--simply
copying the description you find online will result in a very low grade. This counts
as a test so I will grade it very carefully—a poor job will get a poor grade. Give lots of details and explain everything! You
may want to pick a circuit and have it approved by me before you start working
on it. Be sure you list all of your sources if you use other people’s work or you will get a very low grade (possibily a zero for outright plagarism).
