Goals for Part 1

  • shoot three short scenes - talking head, landscape, close-up of object
  • get the videos from the camera to the computer - also referred to as "capturing"
  • use Windows Movie Maker to edit the videos and produce a movie if time allows
  • have fun as did Jean and Geoff

Goals for Part 2

  • review Movie Maker work space
  • learn editing tools
    • cutting, splitting, copying, moving clips
    • special effects and scene transitions
    • producing a movie file
    • add narration and music
    • convert one frame to image and use in project
  • discuss link between saving and how project will be used
  • view some nice examples used in the academic library world, too
